Lesson Learned/Best Practice

When bidding the project, if the specifications include Victaulic Grooved Couplings & Fittings, engage the HCA Construction Manager and design team on accepted locations of use.  There are specific locations within existing & new buildings where this product can be used.  As a rule of thumb open mechanical rooms are acceptable, but only if not located above patient care areas. We believe it is best to handle on a case by case basis.

Suggested Actions for Future Projects

Make decisions in early planning stages to include all players, providing accurate pricing & schedule implications.  Begin early conversations with HCA team members and design.

Actions Taken / Current Status
