Lesson Learned/Best Practice

Need one week of review and 2-3 days for page turn; Include more time (as determined by the needs of the project during planning phase) for project  to review for quality pause; 2-3 days for page turn; include field staff from trade partners and construction supt. to review constructability; schedule quality pause to correspond with Big Room meeting; detailed agenda per trade partner scope; Use quality pause process to review specs for all trades as a separate review from drawing quality pause

Each pause session should have time slots for every trade partner to expedite the drawing review and reduce time.

Use quality pause process to review specs for all trades as a separate review from drawing quality pause; incorporate spec review before DD. MEP spec review gave the design team peace of mind and time to make sure all costs were covered.

Suggested Actions for Future Projects

Build a schedule for the quality pause sessions for every partner, so nothing is missed and everyone gets an opportunity to review their scope with the design team.
