Lesson Learned/Best Practice

Need earlier coordination with Stryker.  We used the Stryker vendor drawings in the plans for initial planning/coordination, but once we brought Stryker into the conversation we found that some things had changed after the vendor drawings were issued, and this required some redesign, re-do of BIM coordination, and adjusting of some walls to meet the new standards/clearances.

Suggested Actions for Future Projects

Open up the conversation with vendors at the earliest stages of construction.  Have the design team update the vendor drawings when project is finally released for permitting on jobs with a long OSHPD lead time.

Actions Taken / Current Status

Sent to HCA Design Management and Equipment Management teams for follow-up action.
